Tactfully steer the conversation to the topic as you are well prepared. The key here is to decide on "happy topics" and not on the economic downturn or the unemployment rate these are depressing issues and ruin the mood.

A conversation is good when both the participants have an equal opportunity to voice their opinion. A dialogue and not monologue is what women like. It also gives you time off when all you have to do is listen.

Connect with the speaker
When talking to girl if you sense that she is showing her disinterest then change the topic or ask her opinion and go with the flow. You have to establish a connection with her and once you do that your fear will vanish.

Keep it simple
You don't have to impress the girl with your vocabulary. What you need to say can be said in a straight forward manner without the use of big words that your listener does not understand. This will keep her interest alive.

When you meet her and talk try and talk of the everyday issues like the new releases, the top ten on music charts or something similar without going into the details. Issues like climate change or war on terror are a strict no - no.

If you have no hidden agenda like asking her out, or obtaining her phone number it would ease your tension. Keep it for later. Just go and talk, the worst that can happen is she will say sorry and move on. What's the big deal in rejection, everybody gets rejected sometime or the other.
